Galerie Brockstedt
Gallery History

The gallery Brockstedt has been founded 1958 in Hannover and moved to Hamburg in 1959. In 1992 the second gallery was opened in Berlin.

Its reputation was formed through the work with the artists of the german expressionists, the post-war rediscovery of the artist of the "Neue Sachlichkeit" like Otto Dix, Franz Radziwill, Christian Schad etc., the intensive work with the artists of the "Cologne Progressive Art" like Gerd Arntz, Otto Freundlich, Heinrich Hoerle and Franz Wilhelm Seiwert and last but not least a lifelong friendship and work-combination with the Hamburg artist Horst Janssen.
